Belgium-based Tessenderlo, a speciality company that provides solutions for global needs in food, agriculture and water management (including plastic pipe systems), has announced a 2.9% drop in sales for 2013. Tesenderlo reported a revenue of €2.13bn in 2012 which dropped to €1.8bn in 2013.

Romanian construction materials manufacturer Adeplast has posted improved financial results for last year. The company reported revenues of 253m lei (€55.8m) in 2013, an increase of about 37.4% compared with a year earlier.

Uponor, the Finnish manufacturer of plastic pipe and indoor climate equipment, announced on 22 January that it was withdrawing its sales and profit forecasts for 2013 due to Q4 problems at its French subsidiary. The company cited the cancellation during Q4 of official French approval of a "central product system, leading to a drop in sales".
