Bulgarian cable maker Zavod Location Mezdra has unveiled plans to expand the output of its production facility in Mezdra, in the country’s north-eastern part. As part of the planned expansion, the cable producer is aiming to take on about 800 new employees at the factory, the state-run foreign investment agency InvestBulgaria said in a statement.

Russian construction products manufacturer TechnoNicol Corporation plans to launch a new plant to produce insulation materials including extruded polystyrene (XPS) in Kazakhstan. The new €12.5m facility, to be established in the Karaganda region of central Kazakhstan, is scheduled to begin producing XPS in 2016.
