Insolvent PET group La Seda de Barcelona has entered the liquidation phase following a ruling by a commercial court judge in Barcelona, Spain. LSB placed itself in voluntary insolvency in June 2013 after failing to reach agreement with creditors to restructure its debt. The court approval, announced on 30 January, enables the company’s receiver to sell the group’s major assets, which include PET resin plants and the APPE PET rigid packaging business.
