Auserpolimeri signs deal with US-based Barnet

US-based William Barnet & Son has been named as a supplier of plastic additives for Italian materials firm Auserpolimeri.

The agreement between Barnet and Auserpolimeri, basein Milan, covers distribution of Compoline-brand impact modifiers and compatabilizers in the US, China, India, South Korea and Taiwan. Those products typically are sold into the engineering resins market.

Barnet already distributes nylon 6 and 6/6 and polyester to compounders around the world. The 114-year-old firm operates sites in North America and Asia.

In a recent news release, Barnet business director Chuck Hall said that with the Auserpolimeri agreement, his firm “will be able to offer, in combination with the correct nylon or polyester product, an impact modifier or compatabilizer to enhance the performance of the polymer in various applications”.
