SamaraNefteOrgSintez to begin production in Volga region

SamaraNefteOrgSintez (SANORS), one of Russia's largest petrochemical holdings, based in Samara (Russia’s Volga region) has announced plans to start large-scale production of petrochemical products by 2015.
At the initial stage, the company will buid a new pyrolysis unit with a capacity of 500,000 tonnes of ethylene per year. It will be able to process about 2m tonnes of raw materials per annum.
After that the frim will build a plant for producing benzene, PE and PP.
Annual revenues will be in the range of RUB 100-150 bln (€2-3 bln), while the volume of processing of raw materials will be more than 3m tonnes.
SANORS holding was established in spring of last year on the base of several Samara petrochemical plants, among which are Samaraorgsintez, JSC, Petrochemicals and CJSC Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company.
