Switzerland-based Priamus has announced two new technologies for in-mould sensors. First is a redesigned cavity temperature sensor for injection moulding. The new Priamus cavity temperature sensor has been redesigned and optimised for abrasive processes, and features a hardened sensor front. The company claims this will be beneficial for applications involving resin with a high percentage of chemical additives or fillers.
The company has also announced a new connection technology. It claims the unique connecting scheme includes individual sensor cables which offer "fool-proof" insertion into robust multi-channel connecting boxes. This simplifies cable management as only one cable is required for an eight channel connection to the Priamus Blue Line amplifiers.
The company claims a significant improvement in signal quality and consistency over other connection methods.
