Oxea expanding production

By Rubber & Plastics News
Posted 18 January 2013

Oxea said it is expanding production at its Bishop, Texas, factory via the development of continuous processes.

The optimizations will add significant further volume, beyond the already announced capacity increases for trimethylolpropane and potassium formate. Oxea did not specify the size of either the expansion or its investment.

TMP is a widely used building block for polymers, especially in polyesters and polyurethanes. Oxea said the chemical also has "a plethora of other areas, including synthetic lubricants."
