New ‘easy-to-use’ dry inhaler

UK design and innovation group Cambridge Consultants says the Foster Nexthaler will be “the easiest-to-use dry powder inhaler on the market”.

In the design project, it worked with Italian company Chiesi Farmaceutici, which produces the Foster diabetes formulation. The inhaler has a three-step inhalation procedure and also features “double-dosing” protection and a mechanical dose counter.

Cambridge Consultants says it applied its expertise in fluid dynamics, design for manufacture and industrial design during the project.
