Automotive supplier Johnson Controls is expanding in Serbia with a new seating plant and a JV with Magneti Marelli. The plants will supply automotive giant Fiat.

"We are proud to support our customer Fiat in developing and growing its business in Serbia. With our products, we contribute to the success of the 500L", Marzio Raveggi, vice VP and general manager of Johnson Controls´ Fiat business unit, said during the inauguration of the two plants.

The company has opened a new plan in Kragujevac to make seats for the 500L. The second plant, opened with Magneti Marelli company PCMA, will make interiors such as door panels and floor consoles.

Both plants supply the FAS facility in Kragujevac, where the 500L compact MPV is assembled.
